Prairie Ridge High School and Cary-Grove High School can prepare students for higher learning. Parents who wish to send their children to private schools can choose Saints Peter and Paul or Trinity Oaks Christian Academy. Most high school students are served by Community High School District 155. Portions of the community are served by Community Unit School District 300 and Crystal Lake Community Consolidated School District 47.

Things to Do in Cary

In addition to being a great place to live, Cary boasts several places that are ideal for recreational activities. More than 40 parks and playgrounds occupy the community and provide the perfect settings for children to play. Outdoor exercise enthusiasts can go for a bike ride on one of the local biking trails or head to one of the canoe and kayak access points for some boating. During the snowy winters, many of the community’s hiking trails become ideal for cross-country skiing. Three different golf clubs are open to avid golfers. A dog park, skate park and several sports fields are open as well.
